Napa Valley Insider Newsfeed September 2017

Restoration Hardware has finally succeeded in gaining approvals from the City of Yountville to build their second design atelier. The first of its kind and the only one to date is in Chicago, in what Restoration Hardware calls The Gallery at the Historic 3 Arts Club.

Meanwhile further north, I checked in with the Director of Planning for the City of Calistoga to get an update on Rosewood Hotel’s progress with their new hotel. No building permits have been issued yet, however Rosewood hopes to have the driveway and the landscaping up to the hotel completed prior to the rains.

Just in case you were wondering why the new hotels coming in Calistoga will not be called Four Seasons or Rosewood – it’s because no chains are allowed in the Up Valley. The New Four Seasons Hotel will be called ‘Calistoga Resort’ and the Rosewood Hotel, as far as we know, will be called ‘Calistoga Hills’.
