Seven Stones Winery Allocation – Well Worth Waiting For!

seven stones wineryBy a stroke of good fortune or perhaps karma, I landed in Napa Valley in 2001 after being an annual visitor for nearly two decades. Since then I have enjoyed the privilege of representing buyers and sellers of luxury Napa Valley estates, vineyards and wineries.

On a regular basis, I am awed by yet another spectacular spectacle in a location that I never even knew existed. I often comment that to get just a glimpse of the many hidden treasures in our hillsides, most people have to buy a book on Napa Valley wineries, gardens or architecture.

seven stones wineryOne hidden treasure that I am madly, passionately fond of is Seven Stones Winery and, fortunately, you’re in luck because they schedule tastings by appointment. Seven Stones Winery is on a 45-acre private estate, home to Ron and Anita Wornick, located in the hills of Saint Helena above the famed Meadowood Resort.

This ultra premium, micro-production  winery produces a single wine – a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon – from just 3.5 acres of stellar hillside estate vineyards. Robert Parker gave their 2012 vintage 96 points and the 2013 Barrel tasting 96-98 points.  Stay tuned for his 2014 rating!  The trick however, is to get on Seven Stones Winery’s allocation waiting list!  I can assure you, you will want this cult wine in your cellar!

Apart from the extraordinary beauty of the property and views, you will be captivated by magnificent sculptures, first and foremost the Seven Stones by Richard Deutsch. After a tour of the vineyards, estate and production area, the tastings are hosted in the comfort of the tasting room looking out over the valley. There is also a walking tour of the property available that includes several of the sculptures, but this kind of tour needs to be prearranged.

To enjoy the best wine country has to offer – spectacular beauty, cult Cabernet Sauvignon and incredible culture, make your way to Seven Stones Winery and enjoy the blessings of the Wornick family.

Thinking about buying a private estate, winery or vineyard in Napa Valley or SonomaI have access to some extraordinary Offerings that are not on the open market, as well as a deep knowledge of some exceptional overlooked on-market offerings.
