Interior of One of the Best Luxury Inns in Napa Valley

Exciting Luxury Inns Opening in Napa Valley

While Napa Valley has many wonderful, award-winning hotels to choose from, I’m particularly excited about three boutique luxury inns opening this year in St. Helena and Calistoga. Two of these luxury inns in Napa Valley – The Francis House and The Ink House – are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The third inn – The Wine Country Inn – offers charming cottages and spacious suites set within a vineyard.

All of these luxury up valley inns are within minutes of world class wineries and Michelin-starred restaurants – the best that Napa Valley has to offer! When planning your next luxury getaway to wine country, I encourage you to stay at any one of these gorgeous Napa Valley boutique inns.

The Francis House

The Francis House, a bed and breakfast property in the heart of Calistoga, is expected to open in late spring. This historical building dates back to 1886, when it was constructed as a family home for a prominent local merchant named James H. Francis. The Francis House is the only stone building in Napa County that is authentic in Second Empire architecture.

From 1919 to 1946, the building served as the Calistoga Hospital. Following changes in ownership and natural disasters over the next two decades, the state decided to close the building in 1965. It would remain uninhabited for the next 50 years.

The house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is being carefully restored and redesigned as a five-room luxury inn. Many of the details for the new inn are being kept secret – but I have no doubt that the Francis House will deliver a beautiful and relaxing wine country escape, offering guests the best of the Napa Valley lifestyle.

The Ink House

The highly anticipated Ink House has reopened between Rutherford and St. Helena. This historic two-story home was built in 1885 by one of Napa County’s early settlers, Theron Ink, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Over the years, the Ink House has served as a private residence and bed and breakfast. In 1960, the house served as Elvis Presley’s home during the filming of “Wild in the Country.”

The home has been restored by the Castellucci family as a four-bedroom boutique luxury inn. The Ink House promises to deliver personalized experiences coupled with warm and elegant Italian hospitality.

Guests at the Ink House can indulge in an array of delicious treats, wines and a sumptuous European breakfast. The inn also offers “Open Access” so guests can enjoy the fully-stocked chef’s kitchen at their leisure.

The Wine Country Inn

The Wine Country Inn in St. Helena will complete renovation in mid-February. Set in a vineyard, the Wine Country Inn originally opened in 1975 and has been continually recognized as one of Napa Valley’s finest boutique hotels. The inn offers charming accommodations perfect for a romantic getaway or relaxing wine country escape. The Wine Country Inn is one of the best luxury inns in Napa Valley.

Accommodations include a complimentary bottle of Napa Valley wine, and a private refrigerator stocked with non-alcoholic beverages. This charming inn also offers a complimentary country breakfast, weekly wine tastings, in-room massages, as well as a picturesque pool and hot tub overlooking the neighboring Napa Valley vineyards and charming real estate properties.
