What are the latest color trends for your Napa Valley home?

Are you considering painting your Napa Valley home in 2015? Want to know the latest color trends? I read this great article in Elle Décor and thought you might find it helpful.  “The 2015 Color Trends You Need to Know Now.” Their Editors asked top interior designers to share their favorite hues and shades, and how to incorporate them and here’s what they had to say:

1) GREEK BLUE

“The blue of the Mediterranean, and the tops of the churches in Santorini. It’s so rich and fabulous, perfect when paired with a grey or pink,” explains Sara Story, a leading designer who draws inspiration from her extensive travels and love of contemporary art.

2) PASTEL PALETTES

“I’ll be looking back to the pastel palette of LA in the 80s—optimistic color combinations of orange and purple sunsets, green palm trees, aqua pools, and pink flamingos. It’s a muted palette with shocks of neon—Monet meets Molly Ringwald,” according to Christos Prevezanos of Studio Preveza, whose personal mission is to help clients curate their environments.

3) NEUTRAL GRAY

“Gray is definitely the hottest neutral these days—it sets the perfect backdrop. I love combining soft gray walls with dark charcoal doors and a pale, grayish-white ceiling. One of my favorite paint colors is “Repose Gray” by Sherwin Williams,” says internationally celebrated interior designer Jeff Andrews.

4) WARM TONES

“I’m seeing warmer, muddy colors start to come back into vogue. I can’t get enough of rust, olive, dusty mint, and aubergine—and I still like a splash of bright color thrown on top though, just to keep things exciting!” That prediction comes from Jenny Komenda, a leading design blogger and decorator from New York City.

5) OLIVE GREEN

“Olive greens will be popular in 2015—I just did a kitchen with olive cabinets and it looks wonderful. The shade is warm, organic, and neutral for almost any other color you pair with it,” says Capella Kincheloe who specializes in designing homes for jet-setting creative types who want a home that feels relaxed, layered, collected, and lived in, never decorated.
