Napa is abuzz over the recent opening of Sam’s Social Club, a delicious restaurant tucked inside a brand new building at the bohemian hideaway, Indian Springs Resort. Do yourself a favor and savor the restaurant’s Rustic American Cuisine for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the bucolic setting located at the western foot of Mt. Lincoln. I think you will love the menu.
The main dining area seats 90 guests and there’s a ground floor brew-pub/bar called The Cellar. Sam’s also invites patrons to dine alfresco on the tree-shaded patio. The outdoor area is set with fire pits and a natural geyser-fed fountain carved into a stone wall. It’s pretty cool.
The two-story restaurant is part of the historic California resort and spa’s $20 million expansion, with a nod to its rich past and a focus on the future. Besides the new restaurant, Indian Springs has expanded its guest rooms, event spaces, and gardens on the prime 17-acre property located in Calistoga, the new playground for the rich and famous.
Named after resort founder and California’s first millionaire, Samuel Brannan, the restaurant is receiving rave reviews for the menu that’s symbolic of the Merchant family table: tasteful, welcoming, art-filled, eclectic, and serving both hearty family favorites and dishes inspired by the family’s world travels.
There’s a full and intimate bar and lounge where you can get artisan cocktails, local wines and craft beer brewed on-site made to complement the fresh, seasonal menu featuring the region’s finest ingredients prepared in classic form. The indoor dining area is so inviting; with soft seating, a fireplace and wood tabletops. Natural light streams into the entire space from windows that flank three sides of the room, and overlook a patio that rests under a canopy of heritage oak and olive trees.
Led by Chef Kory Stewart, a veteran chef of the San Francisco dining scene and formerly executive chef at Americano at the Hotel Vitale, a meal at Sam’s Social Club is truly an event!
